SweetStay Terms and Conditions

Welcome to SweetStay!

​

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") outline the agreement between you ("Guest") and SweetStay (PTY) LTD ("SweetStay") regarding your reservation and stay at our hostel.

​

Reservations and Payment:

​

  • Confirmation: Full payment is required to confirm your reservation.

​

  • Cancellation Policy:​

    • Late cancellation: A 100% cancellation fee applies for cancellations within 14 days of arrival provided you book our flexible rate.

    • No refunds will be processed should you cancel on our non refundable rate option .

    • No shows: No refunds for no shows.

​

  • Free cancellation: Up to 14 days before your arrival provided you have booked our flexible rate option. 

​

  • Refund Policy: A 5% administration fee will be applied to all refunds.

​

Guest Responsibility and Liability:

​

  • You are responsible for the care and safety of your belongings during your stay. SweetStay accepts no liability for loss or damage to personal property.

  • You agree to indemnify SweetStay, its owners, agents, and employees from any claims arising from your actions or the actions of your guests during your stay. This includes, but is not limited to, accidents, bodily injury, fire, theft, or damage to the premises.

House Rules:

​

Curfew:

​

There is no curfew at the hostel, allowing guests to enjoy their stay at their own pace. However, we kindly request that guests respect the peace and quiet of other guests, especially during late-night hours.

​

Alcohol:

​

The use or consumption of alcohol inside the hostel is strictly prohibited unless otherwise indicated by dedicated common area's.

​

Age Restrictions:

​

Persons under 16 cannot stay in dormitory rooms unless accompanied by an adult legal guardian. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests, particularly younger travelers.

​

On-Site Travel Desk:

​

Our on-site travel desk offers a wide range of tours and adventures to enhance your stay in Cape Town. From exploring the city's iconic landmarks to embarking on thrilling outdoor activities, our knowledgeable staff can help you plan the perfect itinerary.

Parking:

​

Secure parking is available on request at an additional cost. This provides peace of mind for guests who arrive by car, knowing that their vehicle is parked safely on our premises.

Important Notes:

​

  • Rates: The stated rate is for one person per bed. For group bookings, we will do our best to accommodate guests in the same room, but this cannot be guaranteed. Please note that additional charges may apply for extra beds or private rooms.

  • Identification: A valid passport or ID is required at check-in. This is a standard procedure to verify the identity of our guests and ensure their safety and security. Failure to provide these documents may result in denial of check-in.

Age Policy for Guests Under 16:

​

Guests under 16 can only stay in dormitory rooms if they are part of a group that has booked out the entire room and if each member has a passport or unabridged birth certificate and is accompanied by an adult. This policy ensures that younger guests are supervised and cared for by responsible adults.

Baggage:

​

Please note that all guests are to declare their baggage count before arrival, Our rooms accommodate for 1 large luggage bag per person. The hostel provides Luggage Storage at a fixed rate of R25 per day.

Additional Terms:

​

  • SweetStay reserves the right to refuse service or terminate your stay at any time for violation of these Terms or disruptive behavior.

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the hostel.

  • Alcohol and Drugs in strictly prohibited inside the hostel.

  • Pets are not allowed unless explicitly approved by SweetStay management.

  • You are responsible for any damages caused to the hostel property during your stay.

Guest Agreement:

​

By making a reservation at SweetStay, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
